New Smokey Eye

You all most likely know by now how I'm a huge fan of the smokey eye, most of my makeup looks are one variation or another, well my friends I'm here bringing you yet another variation.

Browns and Purples, surprisingly they mix very well for a gorgeous autumn smokey eye.

The Clown's Faces

As an apology I've compiled several FOTD's I had lined up for you guys, some looks I've been sporting this summer season :)

This look is the one from the day out with my friend Jenny, you can see her Vlog of the day here

This look comprises of thick liner, 'bare' lids and a statement colour under the eyes (I chose white) you can switch up as you wish, I feel it makes the eyes look slightly bigger, personally I feel this is more suited for casual / party looks.

This look was sported on a casual shopping trip, also seen on my latest OOTD post here

to create this look, use earthy/taupe toned colours, tone down on the liner (I just used shadow on the lashline to thicken the lashes and smoke it out a little). I've also applied demi lashes UNDER the lashes - this hides the lash strip and gives a more natural effect to using falsies, I've been sporting this a lot lately, as this look is toned down it's highly suitable for daytime casual and formal events, finish the face with bronzer as a contour and/or a peachy blush.

This look was worn to a coffee shop meet up with some old college friends, it's highly toned down so you're more than welcome to wear it for a daytime casual or formal event.

Lightly wash a mossy green colour onto the lids and contour the eye slightly with a darker brown shade, finish the bottom lash line with the mossy green on the outer 2/3 and touch the darker brown under the lashes, use a light shade in the inner corners, apply falsies and thinly line the eyes.

The summer child, I wore this when we took a trip to the park for sunbathing. When you're spending long hours in the sun the last thing you want your face is to feel cakey and over-done.

By using copper, bronze and golden tones on the eyes it'll nicely draw out your eyes ever so slightly whilst complimenting the tones of your tan. Add a slight eye liner on the outer half of the upper lid and use a shadow to fade towards the inner corner of the eye, rest of the face is left blank for natural tan to show through, remember spf lip balm on your lips, you don't want them drying out and chapping now!

A clean face was desired as to not defer from the extravagant hairstyles and accessories, a little concealer(supplied by model) was used to cover up freckles with a light layer of foundation, finished with some Benefit Hello Flawless to finish with a spritz of E.L.F Mist & Set A little concealer was also used on the lips with a touch of Benefit's Benetint to add a touch of colour. UD Primer Potion with UD Naked to the lids; then UD Buck to the crease for definition. Finally UD Hustle to the lash line to get the effect of fuller thicker lashes - eyeliner will be too strong, finish with mascara.

It's been a while since I've touched anything other than the naked / sleek palettes, so I decided to do a look with the Urban Decay Alice and Wonderland Palette. Packed full of both neutral and vibrant colours, here's a pinky summery look to share with you guys, I hope you like it!

The make up I used for the Gallery's Private Industry viewing, beautifully natural that would work on a everyday, casual, formal, and work basis. I've been rocking this look for the past few weeks now with different variations of shadows from the same palette (explained later) amazingly wearable for all eyes.

Here's how to replicate the look! The exact same products aren't required but I've listed what I used:

Face

Hanskin Magic BB Cream (foundation)
Lightly applied by rubbing between hands and patting on the skin. Using your fingers dab extra on forehead, nasal, cheek, lip area's for extra coverage if required
E.L.F Studio Under Eye Concealer (medium)
Pat a few dots under the eye and dab with ring finger to blend out
E.L.F complexion perfection (finishing powder)
Swirl a powder brush into the powder and dab all over the face from the middle outwards blending as you go
Sleek Face Contour Kit (Light)

(more prominent cheekbones) Using a fluffy brush sweep a line about a third of the way from your ear canal towards the corner of your mouth, use your middle and ring finger to blend
(slimmer sharper noses) Again with the fluffy brush apply a small amount to the sides of the nose up the bridge towards the start of the eyebrows, blend again with middle finger - be sure to blend well on this as too much product will look silly

NARS Blush (Gina)

Swirl you favourite blush brush into this (for those using the same product a little goes a LONG way - be warned) and sweep just above the ear canal towards the nostrils and back and forth blend a little on the apples
E.L.F Studio Mist and Set
Spritz a little onto a flat top kabuki brush and dab all over face to set everything, this will not only take away any over powdering/caking, it will moisturise any dry patches as well as blending out any contour / blush that was overdone

Outer V to be defined using either Darkhorse/Hustle

Mother's make-up for a wedding we attended, I feel mature women should have cleaner clearer skin with only one focal point; as I do with my make-up looks:

Face

Clarins Perfecting touch

this was used as a base to smooth out large pores and fine lines, this makes the face younger and more lively

Hanskin BB Cream

only a light amount was applied through rubbing between the hands and patting on the face, too much would make the face caked up, using a patting motion helps blend in the product for a more natural finish.

Secondly, applying a small blog to the back of the hand to warm up the product and using a concealer brush more was applied under the eyes and around the nose area for extra coverage where needed and blended out

E.L.F Complexion perfection

Dusted all over the face to set foundation so it holds in place

Sleek Contour Kit

Applied just under the cheekbones as with age, cheeks may droop slightly the slight contouring brings some shape back into the face
Apply also to the bridge of the nose to shape it to be higher, and slimmer, this will make the nose more of a focal point at the centre of the face

NARS Gina

applied just across the cheekbones to add a little colour, buffed out with a kabuki

Spray of water

Using dry powders and matt complexions can bring out fine lines, pores and wrinkles in the skin, by a spritz of water/make-up fixer onto a brush and dabbing it onto the face finishes off the face with a slight dewy and moisturised effect not only making the skin appear healthier and supple but it also makes the make-up look more natural - this is also a good tip for those with dry/flaky patches on their skin

E.L.F. Highlighter

Along the bridge of the nose, just above the apples and alone the top of the cheekbones to bring more light into the face

Eyes

UD Primer Potion

As we were attending a wedding it was best to prime the lids for lasting durability

UD Naked

Applied all over the lid so that any redness / colouration was eliminated - mainly for photo purposes as they may sine through, applying a nude / colourless powder before shadow also helps with blending should you need to

Lightly dusted on the eyelid for a touch of colour

Elongates and thickens her lashes as they're thinner and less prominent when you get older

Nothing fancy here, just to even out her slightly mono lid, this was simply done by adding a blob to where her crease should have been, when the glue is tacky gently push in with a small stick to create the fold and let it dry

Lightly apply UD smog to crease and blend, pencil liner on waterline, liquid liner top link to bottom and extend out. Use qtip with makeup remover to correct, use tape as guide if needed. Smudge UD darkhorse on liner. Apply section of glitter lashes. Bronzer in hollows, peach lips.

Simple "Natural" Eye

ok yes I was a goon and took the pictures before mascara so there's a with and without for you :) - Yes I'm also a total noob at mascara and got it all over the bottom lid I took a pic AGAIN before I q-tip'd it away... Then I had to leave so... You're stuck with this!

Anyway, I've kinda been drawn to minimal looking makeup recently so all I've really done is use a flesh tone on the lid, a bronze on the outer v and lower lash, shimmery white on the inner ducts, gel liner and mascara.
